James Yun (born on May 13, 1981 in Hollywood, California), better known as Yun Yang, Jimmy Yang or Akio, is an American professional wrestler of Korean descent, best known for his appearances with World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment's SmackDown! brand.

Career

In June 1999, Yun signed with WCW, then made his WCW television debut in January 2000. He was put in a stable called the Jung Dragons consisting of himself, Jamie-San and Kaz Hayashi. Yun and Hayashi defeated Evan Karagias and Jamie-San at WCW Sin in January 2001.

When the WWF purchased WCW in March 2001, they also acquired Yun's WCW contract and assigned him to the company's developmental roster. With no plans to call him to the main roster, the WWF eventually released Yun, who then agreed to join All Japan Pro Wrestling. In July 2002 he debuted in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where he was given the gimmick of an Elvis impersonator.

In September 2003, the WWE resigned him, this time to a three-year deal. Yun was renamed Akio and aligned himself with the Japanese Ryan Sakoda, forming the heel tag team Kyo Dai, the henchmen of Tajiri. Sakoda was eventually released from the WWE and Yun was left on his own to become a lower card wrestler and Velocity mainstay, competing primarily in the cruiserweight division. He was released on July 5, 2005.

Yun debuted in Ring of Honor on October 1, 2005, at the New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan, losing to James Gibson. The following night, he lost once again, this time to Christopher Daniels.
