From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia John Godber (born 1956) is a British playwright, known mainly for his innovative theater and observational 'comedies with an edge'.
He was born in Upton, West Yorkshire, trained as a teacher of drama, and was artistic director of Hull Truck Theatre Company. His plays have won numerous awards.
