From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Joshua (Josh) Michael Homme (born May 17, 1973) is a United States musician from Palm Desert, California.
He was a founding member of desert rock band Kyuss (until disbanding in 1996), and is the only continuous member of robot rock/alternative band, Queens of the Stone Age. He also continues to produce and release a musical improv series with other musicians known as The Desert Sessions.
Homme has also played guitar for the Screaming Trees and Mark Lanegan (who later joined Queens of the Stone Age). Other acts in which Homme has been linked to and/or been a member of include, but aren't limited to, Mondo Generator, Eagles of Death Metal, Foo Fighters, Mark Lanegan Band, Masters of Reality, Deep Blue Something, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Paz Lenchantin, A Perfect Circle, and Local H.
Homme has been engaged to The Distillers frontwoman Brody Dalle since January 2005 and they are expecting their first child.
Trivia
Homme was not, as is sometimes rumoured, the lead singer with Deep Blue Something, who scored a 1996 hit with their single "Breakfast at Tiffany's". This is an urban legend perpetuated by mischievous fans, akin to the rumour that Marilyn Manson was a regular cast member on TV's "The Wonder Years".
