Lars Frederiksen (also known as Lars Dapello), born May 23, 1969, is a guitarist and vocalist for the punk rock band Rancid and the frontman of Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards. During his childhood, Lars went by the name Lars Dapello but has since assumed his mother's Danish surname of Frederiksen.
Frederiksen is half-Danish, born and raised in Campbell, California. The sixth track on his 2001 album, Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards, is titled "Campbell California". He is a notable drop out of Westmont High School.
Frederiksen has also played guitar for the UK Subs and played at The Ramones' last show.
