Adam Peter Rickitt (born May 29, 1978), is a British actor, singer and model.

Born in Cheshire, England, Rickitt first came to public notice by starring as the character Nick Tilsley, in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street. He replaced another actor in the role, the character supposedly having been living in Canada for several years.

After leaving Coronation Street, Rickitt ventured into a brief pop career, releasing his album Good Times in 1999. Rickitt's first hit single I Breathe Again, reached the number five spot in the UK Top Ten, although he enjoyed several number one hits around the world.

After starring successfully as Mark Cohen in the musical Rent, Rickitt returned to Coronation Street, where he courted controversy through a gay kiss scene.

Rickitt has modelled several times for the popular UK magazines Attitude and Cosmopolitan. Adam is particularly famous for having an extremely well-defined "six-pack". This, combined with his blond hair and good looks, has led to the accusation that he is a "himbo". Rickitt turned down an opportunity to study law at Cambridge University.

In October 2005, Rickitt was approved as a prospective parliamentary candidate for the Conservative Party, meaning he can put himself forward to be chosen as the party's candidate in parliamentary constituencies where the current Member of Parliament has chosen to stand down, has been removed or has passed away.
