Markie Post (real name Marjorie Armstrong Post) is an actress who was born on November 4, 1950, in Palo Alto, California. She is best known for her 1985-1992 role as "Christine Sullivan" on the NBC sitcom Night Court; she later played "Georgie Anne Lahti Hartman" on Hearts Afire (1992-1995). Her movie roles include There's Something About Mary (1998) as Sheila Jensen, Cameron Diaz's mother.
Post often appeared as a celebrity player on various game shows, where she usually excelled; she was particularly proficient on Pyramid and Password.
She had previously appeared as a sci-fi hottie on "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century ." She frequently has been a guest actress on Scrubs and the District.
She is the daughter of noted scientist Richard F. Post, famous for his patents in the fields of Nuclear Fusion, particle accelerators, and electronic and mechanical energy storage.
