From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Mario Yedidia (b. November 5, 1984 in San Francisco) is an American film actor.
He found fame through a starring role in the film Warriors of Virtue, after working under the direction of Francis Ford Coppola on the movie Jack. He went on to feature in the Disney Channel movie Under Wraps. His moving performance in this latter work led him to be nominated for a 1997 Youth in Film Award for Best Performance in a TV Movie or Feature Film.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Yedidia found inspiration in the rich culture of his city, which he drew upon as the basis of his performance poetry. This led him to prominence in the Bay Area slam poetry scene, ultimately bringing him to the Youth Speaks Slam Finals.
Yedidia also devotes himself to progressive political causes, such as the New York Civic Participation Project. He once spent three months as a grassroots organizer in the state of Florida on behalf of the non-profit organization League of Pissed Off Voters.
