Mark Benton (16 November 1965) is a British comedy actor, perhaps most famous for his role as Eddie in Early Doors and Clive in the new 2005 series of Doctor Who. His public profile has increased through his role in advertisements for the Swindon-based Nationwide Building Society.
He was born in Guisborough, Cleveland. He has a recurring role as Father McBride in the James Nesbitt series Murphy's Law. He has starred with Vic and Bob in the series Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) (remake), Catterick, and Monkey Trousers. He also appeared as a representative on Earth of the Devil in the 2003 ITV drama The Second Coming.
