From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Robert Francis Vaughn (born November 22, 1932) is an American actor noted for stage, screen and TV work.
Vaughn was born in New York City to Roman Catholic showbiz parents, Walter and Marcella Vaughn. Vaughn's first notable appearance was as one of The Magnificent Seven, a role he echoed twenty years later in Battle Beyond the Stars.
In 1964, he starred as "Napoleon Solo", the eponymous Man from U.N.C.L.E., but much of his thunder was stolen by British co-star David McCallum. As of 2005, he is the only one of the seven main stars of The Magnificent Seven who is still alive.
He married the actress Linda Staab in 1974 and they have 2 children.
Politically, he is a moderate Democrat.
