Lisa Moretti

Lisa Mary Moretti (born November 26, 1961 in Torrance, California), best known by her stage name of Ivory is a professional wrestler most famous as a wrestler and host for World Wrestling Entertainment.

WWF/WWE career

A former performer for the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) promotion, Moretti was originally brought into the WWF (now WWE) in February 1999 as a manager for D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry. Her ring name, Ivory, was apparently derived from the fact that she was a caucasian managing two African American wrestlers - a reference to the song "Ebony and Ivory", which was sung by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. She was their manager for a short time before quietly transitioning to other storylines, all the while retaining the name Ivory.

Moretti was a heel for most of her wrestling career, attacking many popular female performers in various storylines. As "Ivory", she won her first WWE Women's Championship from Debra McMichael on an edition of RAW in 1999, which she kept for over 4 months until losing at the No Mercy PPV to Fabulous Moolah on [[the October 17, 1999). She recaptured the title the following day on RAW when Moolah returned the title to her, but lost it again to The Kat in an Evening Gown Match at the Armageddon PPV.

Eventually she was "captured" by the conservative wrestling faction Right to Censor and "reprogrammed" to further the group's anti-WWF message. During her time with Right to Censor, her ring attire was changed to be less suggestive - wearing the formal black and white suits of the rest of the faction's members, as well as a long skirt. Ivory won her third and (to date) final Women's title from Lita on an edition of Smackdown in a Fatal Four Way Match between herself, Lita, Trish Stratus and Jacqueline. With the help of her stable mates, Ivory kept a strangle hold on the title until Chyna defeated her for it at Wrestlemania X-Seven after Ivory and her RTC colleagues were responsible for putting Chyna out of action for several months with a serious injury due to her status as a Playboy centrefold.

After the faction disbanded, she eventually joined The Alliance, despite never having worked for WCW or ECW.

Moretti's in-ring role was significantly decreased and "Ivory" was primarily used as a commentator on various WWE programs, including a stint as co host of the WWE Experience Sunday mornings on Spike TV. Her contract was modified to a television talent deal, allowing her to wrestle on the independent circuit.

Finally on July 22, 2005, WWE released Moretti from her television contract (a few weeks before WWE Experience was due to be canceled due to WWE's pending return to the USA Network.)

Since then, Moretti has done a lot of voluntary work assisting those who have been victims of the various hurricanes which have struck the United States.
