Robert Picardo as The Doctor on Star Trek: Voyager

Robert Picardo (born October 27, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American actor. Picardo graduated from William Penn Charter School in 1971 and originally entered Yale University as a pre-med student, but opted to act instead. He is probably best known for his portrayals of Dr. Dick Richards on ABC's China Beach and the Emergency Medical Hologram, one version of which became known as The Doctor, on UPN's Star Trek: Voyager. He also played Coach Cutlip on The Wonder Years.

He starred in the 1981 hit film, The Howling, as Eddie Quist. He is the one who has the longest werewolf transformation scene.

In 2002, 2004 and 2005, Picardo provided the voice of Amazo on the cartoon series Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.

Robert Picardo as Agent Richard Woolsey in Stargate SG-1

In 2004, he began playing the recurring role of NID Agent Richard Woolsey in Stargate SG-1. His first appearance in the series was "Heroes (Part 2)".

Picardo has also appeared on "E-Ring" as a media rep in the Pentagon - assumptions lead one to belive this is an recurring role.

In addition to being an actor, since his appearance on Star Trek: Voyager, Mr. Picardo has expanded into directing and writing. In 2002, Mr. Picardo authored the book The Hologram's Handbook, published by Pocket Books.

Other career highlights include performing in Leonard Bernstein's Mass in D during its European debut tour, performing with the Yale University Society of Orpheus & Bacchus a cappella singing group as an undergraduate, and appearing in dozens of other television and film roles.
