From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Wink Martindale (born Winston Conrad Martindale on December 4, 1934 in Jackson, Tennessee, USA) is perhaps best known as a game show host for such classic shows as Gambit, Tic Tac Dough, High Rollers, and Debt, although he is also known in Internet circles for the occasional surrealistic comedy articles by Zack Parsons on Something Awful, which describe him, evangelistically, as somewhere between a God, a Demon and Jesus Himself.
He was also a disc jockey on KFWB radio in Los Angeles in the 1950s and also had many numerous radio jobs into the 1980s. Martindale was a close friend of Elvis Presley and following Presley's sudden death in 1977, Martindale aired a nationwide tribute radio special in honor of Presley.
His rendition of the song "Deck Of Cards" went to #7 on the Billboard charts and sold over a million copies in 1959.
After a divorce to his first wife in 1971, he married Sandy Ferra in 1975 and has four children.
He has appeared in various TV commercials and has a slot on the radio network Music Of Your Life.
As of 2005, Wink has done television commericals promoting for Orbitz.
