Thomas Matthew DeLonge (born December 13, 1975), better known as Tom DeLonge, is the founding member of blink-182. He plays guitar and shares vocals with bassist Mark Hoppus. He is renowned for his stretching voice.

Thomas was a rowdy kid, always seeking attention and going out of his way to embarass others. At fourteen DeLonge was suspended from his high school in Poway, California for drinking and being drunk during a school football game (some accounts say it was a basketball game). A few years later he was elected prom king, to the anger of school officials. On May 26, 2001 he married his long-time girlfriend Jennifer Jenkins, and now the couple have a daughter called Ava.

Before forming blink-182, DeLonge was in a band called The Big Oily Men, but soon realized that it was going nowhere, and broke it up. Tom founded blink-182 with Mark Hoppus in August 1992. The two were introduced through Mark's sister, who was dating one of Tom's friends at the time. Mark and Tom took to each other immediately and were rarely seen apart. In 1998 Scott Raynor (drummer of blink 182) was "dismissed" and soon replaced by Travis Barker of The Aquabats. blink-182 took a break from performing and recording and went on an indefinite hiatus in February 2005, after the release of their latest self-titled CD.

DeLonge also had a side project with fellow blink-182 band member Travis Barker called Box Car Racer. They released one album together before breaking up the band in 2003 to focus more on blink-182. He's also a video director, one of his latest shoots was the video for Taking Back Sunday's "This Photograph Is Proof(I Know You Know)".

News has come from a BBC Radio One, Foo Fighters interview that DeLonge might be starting his own solo album: "Tom from blink is recording right now actually, recording the drums for his new record", and it has been recently revealed by DeLonge himself that his new band "Angels and Airwaves" has almost finished its first album, which should be released in early 2006. There will be a blink-182 "Greatest Hits" album in November 2005. DeLonge was also rumoured to be working on an album with Matt, Busted's ex-bassist, but this now seems unlikely.
