From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Frank Deford (b. December 16, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland) is a senior contributing writer for Sports Illustrated, author, and commentator.
In addition to his Sports Illustrated duties, he is also a correspondent for HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel and is also a commentator for National Public Radio. Deford is also the chairman emeritus of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Deford is a graduate of Princeton University. He resides in Westport, Connecticut with his wife Carol.
