Steve Matchett is currently a commentator for American cable TV station SPEED on its various F1 programs. He is a contributor to and technical editor of F1 Racing magazine. He is also the author of a semi-autobiographical F1 trilogy: "Life in the Fast Lane" (1995), "A Mechanic's Tale" (1999) and "The Chariot Makers" (2004). He worked with the Benetton F1 team from February 1, 1990, through February 13, 1998.
