Paul D. Shannon (1958-) is currently Head of Modern Languages at the King's School, Chester. He teaches both German and French. Married, he has one son (William).
A renowned train enthusiast, he has written several books on railways and railway engines. Amongst his works include Railway freight operations (Shepperton 1999). Moreover, along with John Hillmer, he produced Manchester and South Lancashire (Wadenhoe 2003).
