David Greene (born June 22, 1982) is a National Football League quarterback with the Seattle Seahawks.

High School Career

At South Gwinett High School in Snellville, Georgia, David Greene was a two-sport standout as a quarterback in football, and as a right fielder in baseball. As a senior, he completed 134 passes out of 227 pass attempts (59.0 completion percentage) for 2,102 yards, and 19 touchdowns, earning USA Today All-USA honorable mention, Atlanta Journal Constitution Super 11 honors, Super Southern 100 honors, Top 75 in Georgia honors,Class AAAA All-State honors, Georgia Sports Writers Association AAAA All-State, Gwinnett County co-Offensive Player of the Year, Atlanta touchdown club quarterback of the year, Gwinnett touchdown club All-Star quarterback, and Atlanta Club Quarterback of the Year. He also played in the Georgia-Florida All-Star game, and led his team to the playoffs as a junior, and as a senior.

College Career

Greene played quarterback at Georgia in college. He had a very successful career, highlighted by guiding UGA to a Sugar Bowl victory in 2003. He also set the NCAA record for victories by a quarterback, breaking Peyton Manning's record.

Pro Career

Drafted with first of two third-round selections (85th overall) in the 2005 NFL Draft. Highest pick used on quarterback since Seahawks chose Brock Huard with 77th overall pick in 1999.
