Jennifer Kendal (February 28, 1934 – September 7, 1984) was a British actress.

The daughter of Geoffrey Kendal and elder sister of Felicity Kendal, Jennifer Kendal was born in Southport, England, but spent much of her youth in India, where her parents ran a travelling theatre company, as described in the book and film, Shakespeare Wallah. In July, 1958, she married Indian film star, Shashi Kapoor (though she maintained her maiden name for professional purposes). They had three children: a daughter Sanjana, and two sons, Kunal and Karan Kapoor, all of whom went into the business. Kendal and her husband were also instrumental in the rejuvenation of Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai, a venture now managed by her daughter Sanjana.

She passed away from cancer in 1984.
