Rob Pilatus, (June 8, 1965 – April 2, 1998) born in New York City was a member of the music band Milli Vanilli. After the band was exposed as a fraud, he turned to a life of crime. In 1996, he was hospitalized after being hit in the head with a bat during a failed robbery attempt (see 1996 in music). He died in Frankfurt, Germany on April 2, 1998 from a drug overdose at the age of 32.
