From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Sessue Hayakawa (æ—©å·é›ªæ´² Hayakawa Sessue, June 10, 1889 - November 23, 1973) was a Japanese actor in American films, including two in the U.S. National Film Registry:
- The Cheat in 1915
- The Bridge on the River Kwai in 1957, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor
- Swiss Family Robinson in 1960
For his contribution to the motion picture industry, Sessue Hayakawa was awarded a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1645 Vine Street, in Hollywood, California.
