Danielle Panabaker (born September 19, 1987 in Georgia, USA) is an actress that starred in Disney Channel's Stuck in the Suburbs.
Biography
Danielle Panabaker started acting in community theater at age ten. Her parents enrolled her in a camp that had a theatrical class as a way to interact with other children and as a confidence booster. Danielle not only enjoyed the experience, but also excelled at it. As a result, she auditioned for local theater as well as commercials. After her father's job relocated the family to Naperville, Illinois, Danielle realized that the only way she could truly succeed in the business was to move to Los Angeles.
Danielle left her freshman year of High School in Naperville to visit Los Angeles. In the three months she spent there that spring, she screen tested two pilots and aced the California High School Proficiency Exam.
Feeling that the only way she could get acting roles permanently, Danielle relocated to Los Angeles in the fall of 2002 to pursue her acting career as well as continue her education.
At fourteen she was accepted to the Scholar's Program at a local community college, a privilege extended to only a small percentage of students based on academic history, test scores, teachers and essay.
If she, for some unforseen reason is unable to pursue her lifelong dream of acting, she sees herself as an attorney specializing in litigation. When not working, Danielle lives in Los Angeles with her parents and sister Kay Panabaker, who is also an actress. Her loyal Yorkshire terrier, Pea, rounds out the family. Danielle enjoys shopping, reading, dancing, and spending time with her friends.
Film
In addition to numerous commercials, Panabaker has appeared on television in The Guardian (for which she won a Young Artist Award), Malcolm in the Middle, Family Affair, CSI, The Division, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Bernie Mac Show, and Summerland.
She also apppeared in Lifetime productions Sex and the Single Mom with Gail O'Grady as well at Mom at Sixteen with Mercedes Ruehl. In 2005, she appeared in the HBO miniseries Empire Falls.
Her big screen debut came in Walt Disney's Sky High as the female lead opposite the up-and-coming young actor, Michael Angarano. She is next set to star in the upcoming Yours, Mine, and Ours.
