Jeff Beal (born 1963 in Hayward, CA) is a composer of film music and concertos. He was influenced by the music of Miles Davis and Gil Evans. He was educated at the 'Eastman School of Music' in Rochester, NY. Beal moved to New York City as he was finishing up his graduate work, and released his first solo album called Liberation in 1987.
