Marit Elisabeth Larsen was born on July 1st, 1983 in Lørenskog, Norway. She was a member of the former girl band M2M, along with friend Marion Ravn. While in the band, she played guitar and also did half of the vocals and song writing. M2M broke up in 2002. At present, 2005, she is attending a university in Norway and also writes her own music. She, however, has yet to obtain a record deal, although there have been talks of a deal with a smaller label than her previous one, Atlantic Records.
The lighter-haired of the two women from Lørenskog has spent the past two years writing songs and playing with her band. She’s older and her music has also matured.
A few people had the chance to see her play live with just her guitar and they report that something big is brewing. At by: Larm you’ll have the chance to see her perform with a full band for the first time.
On July 28, 2005, Marit announced that she would be heading into the recording studio during the fall to work on her first solo album. The album is expected to be released this year.
