Malachy McCourt (born September 30, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York) is the younger brother of Frank McCourt (who wrote Angela's Ashes, and 'Tis.)
He was raised in Limerick, Ireland. He returned to the United States in 1952.
He has acted on stage, on television and in several movies.
Malachy McCourt also wrote a memoir titled A Monk Swimming, detailing his life in Ireland and later returned to the United States.
