Madeline Angela Clinton-Baddeley, CBE was an English character actress born on July 4, 1904, in London, England. She was the elder sister of actress Hermione Baddeley.
She is remembered today primarily for her television role as Mrs. Bridges, the cook on the seminal British TV series Upstairs, Downstairs.
She died on February 22, 1976 in London, England of pneumonia at the age of 71.
