Alex Zane (born 3 March 1980 in Leeds, England) is a stand-up comedian, MTV presenter and XFM DJ.
Zane began his stand-up comedy career at the age of 18 when he became a finalist on Channel 4's open-mic competition, 'So You Think You're Funny'. He moved to London to concentrate on his career, leaving med school to become a comedian, and was discovered by MTV producers. Alex currently presents MTV shows 'Screenplay' and 'TRL' and also does voice-overs for other MTV productions. As well as being a presenter and comedian, Zane works in advertising and radio and is also an avid comedy writer.
Zane can currently be seen on the Channel 4 entertainment show Balls of Steel, in which he hosts "fake" gameshows with a few twists along the way.
