Robert Schenkkan (born March 19, 1953 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina) is an American playwright who won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his work "The Kentucky Cycle". He is also an actor. He most recently wrote "By the Waters of Babylon", which is currently in its world premiere at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
Robert Schenkkan is well known for his role in the 1990 hit drama film Pump Up the Volume as the high school guidance counselor David Deaver, and his role as Lt. Commander Remmick in the Star Trek: The Next Generation season 1 episodes "Coming of Age (TNG episode)" and "Conspiracy (TNG episode)".
