Jon English. Australian rock singer, actor and comedian. He was in the tv show All Together Now playing the main role of "Bobby Rivers".
He wrote the musical Paris, about the mythology of the Trojan War. According to English, the concept for the original began in a 1982 prank: he wrote a song called 'Oh, Paris,' about the mythic hero rather than the French capital, just to see how many people actually listened to the words.
In 1995, a portrait of Jon English by artist Danelle Bergstrom won the Packing Room award in the Archibald Prize.
