From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Jenny Lewis (born January 8, 1977 Las Vegas, Nevada) is a former child actress and current member of the indie band Rilo Kiley.
She made her debut in a Jello commercial, then starred as a child in a number of films during the 1980s. In 1999, she formed the indie rock band Rilo Kiley along with her friends Pierre De Reeder, Blake Sennett and Dave Rock (later replaced by Jason Boesel). She also provided background vocals for Give Up, the debut album of The Postal Service. She is currently set to release a solo record entitled Rabbit Fur Coat in January 2006 accompanied by the Watson Twins on Conor Oberst's Team Love label. The album is co-produced by M. Ward and Mike Mogis. Described by Lewis as "a kind of soul record," Rabbit Fur Coat features contributions from musicians Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes, M. Ward, Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine, and Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie. Lewis will be touring with the Watson Twins in support of her album beginning early 2006.
