Lisa Maxwell is an English actress who was born in November 1963, in the Elephant and Castle area of London, England.
She trained at the Italia Conti School.
Her first role was in the 1982's Remembrance. She then went on to become a presenter on a number of children's programmes, before getting her own TV show, the Lisa Maxwell Show on BBC television.
She currently plays Detective Sergeant Samantha Nixon in the ITV1 Soap Opera The Bill.
She is engaged to sculptor Paul Jessup and has one child.
