Matt is Tony’s cousin and Jeremiah’s best friend. He is the band's bassist, and he is also a very talented artist. He has drawn some tattoos out for Tony and has also designed the cover art for a few of Mest's albums, including “Mo' Money, Mo' 40'z”, “Mest”, and “Photographs”. Like his bandmate Jeremiah, he is also a vegetarian. Together with Jere, he is also addicted to video games. He also enjoys playing basketball and skating, too.

He grew up with a brother and two sister, and with four cousins, which lived just the street across from him, and were like brothers and sisters for him. He grew up in Blue Island, in Chicago's South Side. His family was poor, which forced him to earn money on his own early in his life. But the family's financial situation lured him and Tony into joining a gang, which were racist. Now that he has grown up and seen that his real views differ from the views that the gang taught himself and Tony, the entire band does different things to support anti-racism.
