Her first appearance on screen was in Voilà l'Ordre, a short French movie directed by Jacques Baratier with a number of the then emerging young singers of the 1960s in France : Boris Vian, Claude Nougaro...

She worked with Jacques Rivette (L'Amour Fou, Le Pont du Nord, La Bande des Quatre), Luis Bunuel (Le Charme Discret de la Bourgeoisie (The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie), René Allio, Claude Lelouch, Jean-Paul Civeyrac (All the Fine Promises Prix Jean Vigo), Claude Duty...

Bulle Ogier was always highly ambitious with her movie directors, all of whom formed part of the French "Cinema d'Auteur".

She is the mother of the actress Pascale Ogier (who died, tragically, of a heart attack on the eve of her 28th birthday, when she was poised for a major breakthrough as an award-winning actress). Bulle Ogier is married to producer and director Barbet Schroder.
