Pierre Klossowski (1905-2001) was a French writer and translator.

Born in Paris in 1905, Pierre Klossowski wrote five novels, a number of essays on literary and philosophical figures, and a full length volume on Nietzsche. He also translated a number of important texts (by Virgil, Wittgenstein, Hölderlin, Kafka, Nietzsche, Benjamin) worked on films and was also a painter, illustrating many of the scenes from his novels. He died in 2001.
