37°2 le matin, released 1986, is a French film, released in the United Kingdom and United States under the title Betty Blue. It was directed by Jean-Jacques Beineix and starred Béatrice Dalle as Betty.
The film was based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Philippe Djian.
The film received both a BAFTA and Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film in 1986, as well as winning a César Award for Best Poster. Nearly twenty years after its release, it was on the list of Roger Ebert's most hated films.
