Jamie Baldwin, played by Rupert Hill, is a fictional character on the British soap opera Coronation Street.
Character information
Jamie is the eldest son of Danny and Carol Baldwin. He was separated from his mother when Danny left her for new wife Frankie. Jamie grew close to Frankie, and has a half-brother named Warren.
When he first appeared in 2004, the soap's directors considering him a "sex symbol": in his early weeks on the show, he often took off his shirt. He started dating Leanne Battersby, left her briefly for Maria Sutherland, then got back together with Leanne. She is currently cheating on him with his father Danny.
Jamie has been criticised for both his unusual hairstyle and his cockney accent, which is out-of-place on Coronation Street.
