Paul Fleming (1609-1640) was a German poet. He was born Hartenstein, in Vogtland, and received a medical training at Leipzig.
Fleming was engaged in embassies in Russia and Persia. He settled in Hamburg in 1639, but died the following year. As a lyrist he stood in the front rank of German poets.
