From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Larry Grayson (1923 - 1995) was a British high camp comedian and gameshow emcee of the late 1970s, one of the first television comedians to suggest a deliberately gay persona. He didn't achieve stardom until he was in his fifties and had his own television show then moved on to host The Generation Game. He also made a memorable "cameo" appearance in the Midlands-based soap opera, Crossroads, as the chauffeur at the wedding of Meg Richardson (played by his close friend, Noele Gordon)
Catchphrases: "Shut that door", "What a gay day", "What are the scores on the doors?", "Seems like a nice boy", "Didn't they all do well?"
