From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Glenn Tilbrook, born in South East London on August 31, 1957, was the lead singer of the British group Squeeze, a power pop band formed in the mid-1970s. Glenn generally wrote the music for Squeeze, while his writing partner, Chris Difford, wrote the lyrics.
Over the duration of Squeeze's first hiatus, from approximately 1983 to 1985, Tilbrook wrote, recorded, and toured with Difford as an act simply called Difford & Tilbrook.
Since Squeeze's final breakup in 1999, Glenn has pursued a solo career, often touring around the UK and US in an unreliable RV, playing small venues to audiences of faithful and highly supportive fans. He currently has two solo albums: The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook, and Transatlantic Ping-Pong.
