From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Barry Fry (born April 7, 1945) is an English football manager. A former Manchester United apprentice, who retired prematurely due to injury. He has managed Maidstone United F.C., Southend United F.C., Barnet, Birmingham City and Peterborough United.
Barry Fry stepped aside as Peterborough manager in Summer 2005. Supporters of deadly rivals, Northampton Town feature Fry in a special version of Daydream Believer, called "Cheer up Barry Fry".
Fry starred in a documentary called There's Only One Barry Fry. It was around the 1996/7 season which saw Peterborough relegated to the bottom tier of English Football.
The programme was memorable for Fry's dressing room antics, including a row with Mick Bodley and his promise to get the Posh out of the division.
