Stephen Wright (born 8 February 1980) is an English professional football player, currently (2005) with Sunderland A.F.C.
He was born in Liverpool and joined Liverpool F.C. He had a loan period at Crewe Alexandra F.C., and was signed by Sunderland in 2002.
He is a combative right full-back who also likes to get forward.
