Caprice Bourret (born October 24, 1974), often known by just her first name, is an American supermodel and actress of French Jewish descent. Her surname "Bourret" is of French origin and pronounced as (Bour-Ray).
Bourret was born in Hacienda Heights, California and had a tough, blue-collar upbringing in a Jewish family. Becoming a cheerleader at age 13, she won the title of Miss Teen California at 16. After growing up in Whittier, California she moved to the United Kingdom in 1996 to further her career in modelling. An appearance in a revealing dress at the 1996 British National Television Awards ceremony helped gain her public recognition. Bourret has become one of the UK's most famous models and is popularly known by just her first name.
Bourret has appeared on the covers of more than 300 magazines published around the world, including GQ, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Vogue, Maxim and FHM. Bourret also posed nude in the March, 2000 issue of Playboy magazine. She was voted GQ Magazine's Woman of the Year and Maxim's International Woman of the Year three years running. She has also been featured in television ad campaigns for Diet Coke and Pizza Hut.
In addition to marketing her image in posters and calendars, Bourret has also developed lines of beauty products, lingerie, and swimsuits. In 2001, she released her first single as a pop singer, "Once around the Sun", which was co-written by '90s star Chesney Hawkes.
Bourret is now moving into an acting career. She has appeared on stage in London in The Vagina Monologues and Rent. She has also appeared in the films Hollywood Flies, Nailing Vienna, and Jinxed In Love. Bourret has hosted the series Caprice's Travels and Friday Night's All Wright as well as several award shows.
In early 2005, she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK. Viewers saw her become agitated when other contestants implied that she was only taking part to boost sales of her products. She also joined Jose Canseco, Bronson Pinchot, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, Janice Dickinson, Carey Hart, and Pepa from R&B trio Salt-N-Pepa on the fifth season of the VH1 reality series The Surreal Life.
After starting out as a teen model in the late 80s,her career received a boost when she arrived in UK.She transformed herself into a top notch model after landing on the other side of the Atlantic.Caprice got her breasts augmented,which opened the world of lingerie modelling for her.Her biggest break came when she was selected as a fresh face for Wonderbra.

Caprice later got her own travel series called Caprice Travels, which was screened on Friday nights on ITV.

Caprice got her own T.V. show "Caprice's Travels" which became very popular in UK in 1998.The success of the show prompted the producers to do re runs of the show in 2005 as well . The show was telecast on ITV .Caprice takes the viewers to a mesmerising journey through the world's finest holiday destinations in Europe, Australia and the United States.The show showcases not only her fine presentation skills,but she also uses this opportunity to do a bit of modelling of her self-designed bikinis as well.

Caprice was the first celebrity to launch a range of lingerie in UK. The line, exclusively sold by Debenhams, continues to hit top retail stores and is now in the sixth season already. Due to popular demand, Caprice has decided to expand her designing interest into a thriving industry. Caprice feels her stint in Wonderbra helped her greatly to enhance her designing skills. Her lingerie range has been received well in Europe, especially in the UK. She is now planning to expand her business to cover North America and Australia as well.
The success of the range is due to Caprice's huge passion for lingerie. Each collection has its own distinctive style: cute, fun, colorful and feminine. Quality, comfort and fit are never compromised and only the best and softest laces, embroidery and fabrics make their way into her range. Each garment is cut in a way so as to accentuate the figure. Following her critical success on stage Caprice signed a two picture deal with a GFT Entertainment and is to co-star with Vinnie Jones and Brad Renfro in the film Hollywood Flies.
Caprice has made a variety of television appearances including hosting the American Music Awards and An Evening At The Oscars, both live appearances on the ABC Network and FYE on the E! Channel in the USA.
