From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia George Amick (born 24 October 1924, in Vermonia, Oregon, United States, died 4 April 1959) was an American racing driver, mainly competing in the National Championship. He was killed in a crash in a Champcar race at Daytona.
As the Indianapolis 500 counted as a round of the Formula One World championship from 1950 to 1960 his career is credited with participation in 1 grand prix (the 1958 Indianapolis 500 for the Norman C. Demler team.), with 6 championship points scored.
